00 you're using your iPhone incorrectly. And don't worry, it's not really your fault. You see, underneath all this clutter is a bunch of advanced features. It's just covered by all bunch of useless features that Apple overlaid, which makes it hard to find them. So, of course, timestamps to all this stuff will be in the description down below for your pleasure. Let's start off with receipts. Now, this is an oversized receipt. This is the best one I could find that doesn't give away my credit card information, you know. But the cool thing about the receipts is so after you're done filling up, launch the camera app for tax documentation. Take a picture of it. And then here you'll see you have saved the receipt. Right. And now if you're trying to reference your receipts, quickly launch the photo app. If you scroll down past the media type

46 tab in utilities, you'll see all your receipts are automatically organized thanks to Apple. Now, I'm gonna have to censor some of that, but you could probably get the picture that all your receipts are automatically categorized on your camera roll. So, taking photos of your receipts, it's actually a smart thing and will easily allow you to organize everything through yours as well. But now, let's say you have to scan a document piece of paper and they're asking for like a wet signature as an example. So, you do your signature just I'm just going to loop it like so. But now your next task is to scan this, but you don't have a printer or scanner on hand. Well, if you just go on your iPhone and just type in file. So on the uh search bar, scroll down and then type in file. This file app next to it.

33 You'll notice it already says scan document. You also long hold on the app and select scan document. It will open up the document app. Just move your phone far enough up until it will automatically c scan that document. Now, my desktop's in the way, so it gave that shadow, but it doesn't really matter because if you hit filters, you can select black and white, and it looks like a professionally scan document. You can rotate it, select other filter options that it has, but then once you're satisfied, just hit the back arrow. Tap the check mark, and just click on the appropriate file you like to save it on, like your iCloud or your iPhone, and then tap save, and it automatically saves that document in your iPhone

21 storage or iCloud. And from here, you hit the up arrow, and you can email it to somebody as it's already saved and converted into a PDF document. Now, not too long ago, Apple added the ability to have Shazam right here in your control center. Now, the cool thing about having Shazam is, let's say, for example, you're on Instagram, right? Well, if there's a song that's playing, you can bring out control center, tap Shazam, and as the video is playing, it's not going to pause your media. It's going to continue listening and will automatically identify the song right above here. It's a cool built-in feature. It's native to the operating system. You no no longer have to open up a launch the third party app that will pause your media. And to add Shazam, just long code till you get to this page and just type

06 in sound and you'll see a section right here where it says recognize music and that's how you add that Shazam logo. Let's say for example your phone is unlocked and somebody snatches your phone. They want to see what you're doing on your phone. You could just verbally say lock screen. it will automatically lock your device. This is a cool feature that doesn't require you to go into accessibilities in order to enable this. So, by simply going into your settings and scroll down to accessibility, then scroll down to voice shortcuts right here where it says voice shortcuts. Select this. You want to go ahead and enable it. So, I'm going to go ahead and delete it so we can start from scratch. Tap add action. Hit continue. And go down this long list until you go to the L section cuz it is

52 categorized. So, it'll be the first column right here, lock screen. And then just type in lock screen. Hit the little arrow and just say lock screen. Lock screen. Lock screen. Now, the drawback to this is that the orange marker will constantly be on running in the background listening to your command to lock your device. And yes, it is said that this will drain your battery quicker, but from my experience after trying this for a whole month now, I haven't really noticed a battery drain comparison having this on or off. But you can always just use Siri and then say lock screen as well. But by doing it this way, bypass the need of having to say Siri. You could just say lock screen,

40 you know, lock your device like so. And then real quick folks, if you have been enjoying this video so far, like to support the channel. If you could kindly hit that like button, like in the video description down below, that'd be truly appreciated. It only takes 2 seconds to do as that allows the channel to be continue to be powered by you guys, the viewers, which is why you don't see brand sponsorship segments taking like a minute or two of your time. Thanks to you guys, we don't have to rely on brands, which is why you don't see two minute segments taking like a minute or two off your time for like a VPN or some type of food subscription you really don't need. Thanks to you guys, we don't have to rely on them. So, thank you so much for those that took the time on doing that. Let's carry on. Now, if you just picked up an iPhone, you know, it's in the control center where you can actually monitor the exact battery life percentage, but a lot of users still

27 don't know about this, but you can actually put the battery percentage in the battery icon. You see this feature is disabled by default. You see if we go into settings and go into battery and this is where you actually go in and enabled battery percentage because by default it's just this battery icon. It's hard to see the exact percentage. Enable battery percentage. Now when sending a message to somebody instead of using a digital like keyboard, if you like to hand write a message to somebody, there actually is a feature built in on iPhones. To access this you it will require you to go into landscape mode. So allow it to turn. If we look closely this new icon pops up right here. So if you're really good at cursive you could literally just handwrite your message and it saves a

14 couple of them right here from previous messages you have created. You can just do this and then hit done. And now you gave that little special somebody a true happy birthday message right there on your iPhone. And then if you're somebody who likes to go to sleep with overear headphones or wireless earbuds, does not have to be native Apple AirPods or Beats as an example, they will have access to the sleep mode ability. As you launch control center right here and we tap plus and then hit add control. If we search up ambient, there's an ambient music section. This is built in on your iPhone, which allows you to have sounding sounds for sleep, chill, product for activity purposes, kind of like lofi, and well-being.

02 So, by simply adding one of these, and you don't need to have an Apple Music subscription to have access to this, it immediately plays soothing music as you're hearing right now. So, it's pretty cool that we have built-in ambient sounds for those situations. Now, recently, Apple allowed it so you could actually remotely control another user iPhone or an iPad. This is great to use in situations where you're trying to explain like your parents or your grandparents something they're having a hard time. You can literally take over their phone and control it remotely. To perform this, you will require to launch the FaceTime app as both parties will have to be on the same call. And then one iPhone needs to tap on these dots

49 right here. And where it says screen sharing, tap on this. And then you could either ask you could either ask to share their screen or ask to share my screen. Since we're trying to control their device, we're going to ask to share. And on the opposite phone, they need to accept it by hitting share. Now, it's not going to work on my device because both are linked to the same account. But down here, you'll see like a little finger icon. Click on that and then the other person will get a message on their end saying the other user would like to control your device. They need to hit allow. And this will allow you to actually remotely control their iPhone even though you're a million miles away as long as you have internet connection. So, it can help with your technical support needs as well as be able to access their control center and adjust certain things if they absolutely need to. Now, a spotlight search on the iPhone is actually pretty powerful

34 because you could ask it ask a medical questions all right here on the screen. It will even give you the answer as you can see. And I also have the ability to copy and paste it somewhere else. But the calculator app is pretty powerful as well because a new feature that was recently added as a powerful tool is as soon as you get done with the calculation, if you'd like to go back, you do have this little clock icon right here you could tap on and it'll actually allow you to go back on some like your previous equations you answered. And when you tap on one, you can resume where you last left off. Pretty awesome. Nice little tool right there. Now, if you're a user who uses the podcast app, let's say you're enjoying the podcast you're listening to, notice how the iPhone now uses Apple Intelligence to

20 create little different chapters. But if there's like a section, just like a section you just want to share with a friend or a family, but you don't want them to listen to the entire podcast, you can just tap the dots above here, hit share, and you can select exactly where you like them to start off from. So if it's like a small section you just want them to listen to, you could just do that and then they don't have to listen to the entire podcast. They could just listen to that section. Now these new iPhones have unique abilities such as the always on display can actually show your wallpaper whenever you enabled always on display. But not every user likes to see the wallpaper in the back or have the always on display enabled. I just noticed the title of that podcast was something silly. But hopping into the settings and we go into display and brightness.

07 If you scroll down, you have the always on display option right there. From here, you can enable it so it shows the wallpaper or it doesn't show the wallpaper. You can allow it to blur the wallpaper if you wanted to. You can also add blur to the wallpaper if you like to show the wall paper but be blurry, as well as disable notifications or turn it off entirely. But with all the wallpaper settings turned off now, if I lock my screen, it'll just show me the time, date, and whatever complications I have down here, as well as what's currently playing. And then the password app is absolutely powerful and amazing. But one of my most favorite features is when we launch it, you can either share passwords with like groups, friends, family, if you have like gaming subscriptions you like to share, or services. But if we go into

54 the Wi-Fi category and just go ahead and select a Wi-Fi, you have the ability to generate a QR code. So if your friend is on an Android phone, they could just scan this QR code and they will quickly just connect them to the Wi-Fi without you having to actually give them the long Wi-Fi password. And there we have it, folks. Those are a handful of amazing tips and tricks that your iPhone can do that a lot of people don't know about. If you like to watch more, like to see what cool tips and tricks CarPlay has to offer, I cover that in greater detail in that video over there where I show you some cool tools you enabled that allows your iPhone to give you feedback whenever CarPlay connects. It's kind of cool. And definitely do check out that video over there for the best customization tips as well. Thank you so much for watching.
