00 Hey everyone, Dan here from DHTV. And if you didn't know, Siri AI can now write entire emails for you on your iPhone, including the new iPhone Duo. You can also rewrite messages, fix spelling and grammar, change the tone of your writing, and summarize long emails. I'm going to show you how to do all of this and all the features step-by-step. So, let's get started. All right, we're going to kick things off by going over where you can find all of the Siri AI writing tools, but you do need to have Siri set up. So, you need to turn Siri on in your settings, and you need to have an iPhone 15 Pro or newer, and that includes the new iPhone Duo. This works the same. Once you have Siri set up, let's just open up any kind

45 of text editor or notes, or in this case, an email. And all you want to do is just tap inside an empty space on your screen where it brings up the keyboard, so a text box. And that's where you'll see those digital buttons for write with Siri, proofread, rewrite, and things like that. However, there's other options and ways you can do this as well. Let's kick things off though with using this tool to write an email from scratch. So again, tap into your text box to bring up the keyboard. And if you tap again in that same text box, it brings up options like this. You can either choose and tap on write with Siri or even tap on this little Siri icon beside the arrow there, and it'll bring up a Siri icon here. Now, at this point,

32 you can just type in what you would like Siri to do. So, in our case, I'm going to use dictation down here so you can hear what I'm saying. I'm going to ask Siri to create an email. Create a professional email to my boss letting him know I won't be able to make it into the office today and make it as believable as possible. Now, this is sort of similar to how it was in Apple Intelligence. We can see what we asked Siri to write for us, and we can actually share it right now to app we want, but we're in email right now, so we're just going to copy it just like that. And we're just going to tap in our empty place and hit paste. That's it. We've added our new email to our boss right there, and you can see what it says. I'm writing to let you know I won't be able to come to work tomorrow, etc., etc. And if you're happy with it, you can send that email off. Now, let's

18 say you wrote an email like this where you kind of wrote it really fast and you've got it written kind of bad. Hey boss, I'm not coming to the office today because I feel super bad and my stomach's totally killing me. Just not what you want to be sending your boss. Well, what you can do here in this case is highlight the text and you can choose to have it rewrite this. So, just highlight everything that you want to change. You'll see options appear here, but you'll also get two options down here. Proofread, which we'll go over punctuation and capitalization, and then rewrite. Let's use a rewrite. You can see it automatically rewrote that message in a different way that's more professional. Now, at this point, you can choose to change it again with an edit to Siri, but down here you have some options. For example, this one

04 where you can see the previous or the current one right here, and swipe left to see the original one that you created, and you can see the changes and how it's improved, especially on professionalism and something that would be more believable and better to present to your boss than something like this. So, once you've gone through it, for example, let's say we want to make it a little longer or add additional options to it. Again, it pulls up full Siri in this case. Add to the email to let my team know that I'll try to finish the Excel spreadsheet when I get back. Hit that search again, and just like that, it's added it in. Now, you can continue playing with these edits and seeing the changes, how things have been changed throughout, make any additional changes,

50 add anything that's missing, or that you would like to be a little bit better. Or you can even take this whole thing and we can say for example, with this icon, format this email so that it's spaced out better and sounds better. Because I noticed it would be better if it was separating the paragraphs and things like that. Now, I also had it change a few things cuz I wanted it changed as well. You could say leave the text the same and just change the formatting so that it's got paragraphs. Anything you like you let Siri know and Siri will do that for you. Once you're happy with it, you can then just submit or send that message out and you've rewritten an email that really sounded horrible into something that's pretty good. Now, let's go over another message here and we'll go over some of the

35 proofreading abilities. So, we're just going to tap an empty space. I'm just going to paste in a poorly written email once again. And this time, it's again not wanting to go to work, telling your boss. And you can see there's no punctuation. There is no capitalization. So, all we have to do is just tap and highlight, grab what we want to modify and you'll see those writing tools will appear. Tap on proofread and it's instantly going to proofread it. Now, we've got capitalization, punctuation, all added in. And this is great if you want your own email to go through without AI creating it, but you just want to double-check on your punctuation. You can see everything it changed is underlined as well. So, you can see what changes were made. You can tap on each one of those options as well. You can see a little bit about it compared to

21 the one that you had before. You can choose to revert any ones back. So, for example, I'll just tap on that one. It says today, period, I I can revert it back just like that if I'd like if I prefer my version better. And I can just scroll through each one like this as well to see the change of each. Once you're happy with it, you can just X out. You can X out again and you have your email the way you wanted it written. And then at this point, you can use the AI tools once again to just highlight everything that you want and just add in something here. Make it a little bit longer. And it adds that in as well. You have all the options at the bottom to see the change again. Just a little reminder. But that's how you can proofread text with Siri AI.

08 Now, let's say you get an email from someone and you can see this email here. It is a very big email. You can sit through it and read it or you can use Siri AI's summarize tool. Now, there's a few ways you can summarize this. Right within the mail app, you do have a summarize tab up here. However, if you're reading this somewhere else, you'll need to use Siri. So, we'll go first by tapping on this summarize tab up here. And this will automatically pull up a summary up here. And it's telling us that this is Project Alpha Nexus migrated a 5% of microservices, whatever it says there. But that's giving us a brief summary. But you can also highlight and we'll just scroll all the way down

53 here and grab everything. What we're going to do now is tap on the little Siri icon in our little box. From here, we're going to tell Siri to summarize. Summarize this email and we'll hit the search. And within the dynamic island, Siri will then summarize everything for us. And I find that it works a little bit better like this because you can interact with the Siri right from here and get more information. So, for example, now you can read through this quick summary here and I can say to it, "Give me bullet notes." And now I've created bullet notes of everything within that specific email. I can say, "Tell me the most important parts of this email." And you can see action required, budget proposal, and so on. So, you can just talk to Siri a little more than the

40 standard tool that's within the mail app. You saw I just clicked on that little icon up there. That is taking me right over to what is the Siri AI application. Now, I did a full tutorial on that, but if you want to use the Siri application to continue that conversation or write your email right from here or make any general changes to what you've been doing, you can do that when you do things within Siri. Also, keep in mind that when you do talk to Siri that pops out of the dynamic island and it's creating those summaries or those blocks, they'll appear in the Siri application. The proofread and the rewrites, they do not appear in that application. So, at this point, you've

25 got what you needed from that. You were able to summarize it. You can then respond accordingly and again, use the Siri AI tools to help you through it. Now, like I said, you can use the Siri AI writing tools within other apps as well. So, in iMessage here, I just have a random message. You could do the exact same thing. You can write with Siri. So, in the text box, you just want to be tapping so you can pull up your keyboard. Again, if you tap in the box a second time, you can use the Siri icon right there. We'll tap right with Siri. Pops up like this. I'm going to ask it to write out something. I need to let my friend know I can't make his party this weekend. Something came up. I don't want to be detailed about it, but I also don't want it to sound fake. And there you go. Instantly, "Hey, I'm sorry, but something unexpected came up." and so

11 on. It's going to let him know. I can then send that out just like that and the message has gone through. In the same sense, if you tap in here and paste in something poorly written like this one and you highlight it, you'll see those tools will appear as well. So, you can proofread right from here, rewrite it right from here, exactly as we did in email. This will work pretty much anywhere you have a text box, whether it's notes, emails, even on the internet. So, for example, you're looking at a webpage here, you can actually bring up Siri. So, I would do this in a better way. So, rather than having to look or highlight, if you want a summary of the whole page, you can just give me a summary of this webpage. And just like that, we've pulled up a summary of what the webpage is about. It introduces the iPhone dual,

58 highlights its different features and things like that. And I'm going to say, "Give me point form notes on the biggest changes to this phone compared to like the older iPhones that have been released previously." And just like that, we can see some of the main differences. Obviously, it's not going to be as good as watching a YouTube reviewer or even reading the page itself, but you're going to get a general point form run of that specific webpage. So, if you don't want to read a full book or a huge website like this, going through each individual thing, you can get a summary like that and then take your next steps based on what Siri pulls up. Now, some additional options you can use with Siri AI and writing tools and some tips with the writing tools is, for example, you run into situations where you've got this list

43 here. Maybe you're going grocery shopping and this is what you wrote down or anybody sent you this, "Go grab this at the grocery store." You can tap and hold on this, use Siri, and we're going to ask Siri to make this into a list and kind of categorize the different foods, hopefully. "Can you categorize this list so that it's easier for me to follow and make it easier for me to read." We'll hit that search. It'll pull it up within Siri and you can see now our list is so nice and easy to follow because we have our produce, we have our meats and seafood, our dairy, our pantry snacks. And if you just hit that button up there, now it's all nice and easy within the Siri app, so you know that you're going to go to the produce section, grab all of this, and you're not running back and forth throughout the whole store

29 like I do all the time looking for everything five different times. The next tip is to use Siri straight up to create these things for you. So, just press and hold on the side button or use the hey Siri command and then just tell it to do something. Write an email letting my boss know I can't come to work tomorrow and when I'm feeling better I'll finish the project. And just like that, it pops up with this little icon. It's actually listening to me right here, so I'm just going to pull down to exit out. But, if I just swipe up, you can see it created that email for me and it's telling the boss, which I just said Daniel test, but you would put your boss's email and its subject line is created automatically and it says I won't be able to come to work tomorrow when I'm feeling better I'll finish the project. Again, all those tools we used earlier, you can tap in here, make any changes you want, add

15 Siri, proofread it, add to it, whatever you like. For this next tip, let's say you're texting your friend and you get into these heated conversations. You're just talking about sports and you realize okay, I just turned this into a full book. So, what you want to do is just basically highlight everything and then just kind of scroll and then you're just going to hit the Siri icon and we're going to tell Siri make this a lot shorter and less rambling. We'll search it out and just like that, that big book we created now is written like this. I've been tracking the teams, trade rumors and everything we need to focus on our zone entries, blah blah blah blah blah. Now, for this next tip, I just put that big message into the notes app. I'm going to show you how you can actually do pretty cool

02 things, I guess, with it as well. So, let's just highlight everything in here this time in the notes app and this time around I'm going to say to Siri to kind of put the statistics in a table. So, we're going to hit the Siri button here. Put all the statistics in this note into a table at the bottom of this note. And you can see I'm talking like not the greatest to it and it's going to understand. Just like that, A glitchy there, but it did complete that and put all the statistics into this note, just like that. So, now I have just the statistics and I can see them in this little table here. So, both sides, totally up to you how you want that to work. But, that's how you use Siri AI and Apple writing tools on your iPhone, including the brand new iPhone duo, to

48 write emails, rewrite messages, proofread text, change your writing style, and summarize information in seconds.
