  • Repurpose email content to maximize its impact.
  • Transform newsletters into various content formats.
  • Consistent cross-posting can lead to viral success.

Repurposing Email Content Across Platforms

The speaker argues that creating content solely for one medium, such as email, is a waste of effort because the content quickly becomes obsolete. Instead, content should be repurposed across various platforms to extend its reach and impact. For example, a weekly email newsletter can be transformed into social media posts on platforms like X, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Pinterest.

Content Transformation Examples

The speaker details how their weekly swipes email is repurposed into various content formats. They use Buffer to automatically post the email content on six different social networks. Additionally, they repost the content as blog posts and SKs, record them into podcasts, and create videos from content with relevant images. The content is also used as private lessons for members.

Maximizing Content Reach

The speaker explains how a single email newsletter can be broken down into smaller chunks and posted on a website. The images and concepts from the email can be used to create social media posts for various platforms. If the content is popular, it can be turned into videos. By creating a lot of emails, the speaker is able to generate content for social media posts, blog posts, podcasts, videos, and lessons.

Achieving Viral Success Through Cross-Posting

The speaker shares a success story about using Buffer to post content on their Facebook page for copywriting course. Initially, the posts received very few views. However, after three months of consistent cross-posting, their Facebook page gained 10 million views. Facebook recognized the consistent posting and increased engagement, leading to some posts going viral. This success would not have been possible if they had focused solely on one platform.

0:00 Let me show you why it's such a big mistake to spend so much of your time creating content for one medium like email than not reusing that content elsewhere. That's like throwing all your hard work into the toilet. You spend a lot of time, you send it out, 48 hours later, everyone reads the email and then it goes into the oblivion. What's the point of that? Instead, we want to reuse that content elsewhere and everywhere. For example, my weekly swipes email gets turned into a social media post on X, social media posts on Instagram, LinkedIn and Pinterest. We do this by using Buffer to just post in one place and it auto posts on six different social networks. Then we repost them as blog posts and SK. We record them into podcasts. We record some of those into videos if they have a lot of images and make sense. And then finally, we make

0:47 them into private lessons for members. So, I'm able to take my weekly email newsletter and then take that same content and post it on my website in little chunks. Then I can take those same images and concepts and make them into social media posts that go out on all the social platforms. Then I can take the popular content and make videos out of it if it warrants making a video. So by simply making a lot of emails, I'm able to post content across all sorts of different platform. I'm making social media posts, blog posts, podcast videos, lessons out of just simple pieces of content. You can do this too with email as your base. So, if you're sending out a newsletter, make sure to remix all those pieces of content. A win from this, for example, we use Buffer to post

1:32 on our Facebook page for copyrightiting course. And here's the thing, it was getting like no views at all, just one or two likes per post, and a lot of them were just zero. After about three months of posting, we looked at the stats, 10 million views on Facebook, and we're like, where the heck did that come from? And the thing is, for a while, we've been reposting a lot of our stuff onto all the different platforms through a third party such as Buffer, but you use any software. And Facebook finally realized, hey, this person's posting all the time. They're posting better stuff. They're getting more and more people to gain traction. And finally, it broke through. And now, actually, a lot of our posts will go viral. Still, some of them will get like five likes and that's about it, but then some of them will go viral. But that never would have happened if I was just focusing on only one platform and just letting all that content go to waste. Instead,

2:19 cross-osting on all the different platforms got us pretty popular on one of them after a couple of months. And honestly, I never would have even paid attention to Facebook if I had to manually post it. So, take your email newsletter and turn it into a lot of different content.
