0:00 You've long been critical of President Vladimir Putin. Was it a mistake for the former president to praise Putin's very savvy, smart, his Ukraine strategy, genius? >> What President Putin is is a ruthless thug who's just invade invaded another sovereign country and killed thousands of innocent people. That's one. >> Now, you're probably wondering, wait, Mitch McConnell is standing up and talking? That's that's crazy breaking news. Why is the live stream title, not just Mitch McConnell, is actually functional again? Well, you may have caught it, but the date on that clip was from 2022. Okay, so that's not from recently, but I play that for you because we start our shows with clips and this one didn't have a clip. And
0:46 that is McConnell back when he could speak saying what he then wrote yesterday and was published I think yesterday or today in the Wall Street Journal and he dropped a little last minute bomb on Trump in two ways which I want to go through as our first story of the day. Welcome to the show Luke Beasley join my producer Jay Cole and it is indeed midterm week. Next Tuesday ladies and gentlemen you can taste it and I can feel my anxiety spiking but this is pretty interesting. The first shocker is that Mitch McConnell climbing himself out of the grave for a brief moment to criticize Trump right before Republicans are expected to get crushed in the midterms. That's the expectation. Don't get overly complacent. Obviously, make sure you vote. I don't know how it's going to go, but you would think
1:32 McConnell his loyalty to the Republican party would mean this would not be published a week before the midterm election, but it was. And number two is I'm going to tell you what he's doing with his war chest of cash and it's not helping Trump. What? So the first thing, Wall Street Journal, an op-ed that Mitch McConnell wrote and I put that in quotation marks because I don't know, somebody wrote it and they slapped his name on it, but let's say it was McConnell because that's what it says. Coddling Putin is the headline. Won't bring peace to Ukraine. So a week before an election that could spell doom for the next two years of Trump's presidency. The next two years of Trump's presidency could not only come to a screeching halt in what he can get through Congress, but also may just be two years of investigations and Trump
2:18 being exposed for everything. And in a moment like this, McConnell again or whoever's hand is up McConnell's booty um controlling him, which in this case I like what that puppet is do puppeteer is doing, wrote this. President Trump's gambit to end Russia's war in Ukraine by pressuring the victim is certain to fail. His approach to the war reveals he misunderstands facts that American voters understand well. While Vladimir Putin ignores Mr. Trump's call for an energy ceasefire and continues to murder Ukrainian civilians, the US president claims that Russia has been fine on Ukraine. That is a quote from Trump. This is factually wrong, strategically naive, and morally bankrupt. The former long-term
3:03 leader of Republicans in the Senate right before the midterms is calling Trump morally bankrupt. His obsequious accommodation of Russia, rewarding the aggressor with sanctions relief won't persuade Mr. Putin to stop. History shows that such behavior emboldens Russia's autocrat who sees it as weakness. And then there's a threat if we skip forward at the end seemingly that says if he keeps acting in ways like this, the next two years could be hell for Trump. Let me read this and then tell you what I think is going on here. Mr. Trump has high hopes for a lame duck legislative agenda, including the one-time defense spending I've urged the administration instead to build into fullear appropriations. Passing this agenda will require working with Republicans who know the difference between the good guys and the bad guys.
3:50 Ending the word to Mr. Putin may be table stakes for the endofyear legislation. The president should plan accordingly. So he's saying you may be double doomed if you wrong the very Republicans that you would need the support of come the next two years or his lame duck legislative era. And so I think that that McConnell probably doesn't have any FS left to give. Now, this is the question we ask, right? He's now not been seen again for almost a month again, but was able to write this. For the sake of me feeling happy, I'm going to assume he actually did write this, even though I I doubt it, but he signed off on it.
4:37 He gave a little Mr. Mr. McConnell, do you want to take down Republicans as your last move before passing away? >> Are you feeling good, Mitch? >> Looks good. >> Give us a thumbs up. >> That's a yes in McConnell speak. So, he said yes. Let's do it. Now, it's not just that, because you might go, "Okay, but but what Republicans, you know, in terms of voters, really care if McConnell is writing or not writing an op-ed criticizing Trump's handling of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, which has been absolutely ludicrous, the way that Trump has been attacking Ukraine more than Russia here." Well, this is paired the vitriol that a clinging to life
5:23 McConnell seemingly has for Trump and held in whenever his political career was dependent on it. But now maybe it there's no more filters also being reflected in his cash. Money talks and his money is saying something very loudly. The Washington Sun reports Mitch McConnell is denying Republicans his massive cash stash. The outgoing senator has nearly $7.4 million to part with before leaving office in January. So far, he's sitting on it. And I was actually cued to this story by fair and balanced the the channel and uh he did a great job fair cousins of breaking this down on all cylinders these days. Mitch McConnell may not be
6:09 firing on all cylinders these days. Obviously his body is not working. His voice, as far as we know, is also not working. I mean, hell, his brain's not working. He has to be told how to vote on certain things. But, you know, one thing that is working, his hands. And I'm not talking about that weird little peace sign that this wararmonger throws up all the time. I'm talking about how tightly this dying Republican senator is holding on to his purse strings so no other Republicans can get their hands on his money. See, what's happening right now is that Mitch McConnell is sitting on $7.4 million in his campaign committee. Now, Mitch McConnell obviously never
6:55 running for office again. I mean, even before the incident, we already knew he wasn't seeking re-election. He was retiring. So, it was assumed that he was going to take these millions of dollars that he is sitting on and, you know, spread it around to all these other Republicans in really tight races across the country. And especially now that he is basically on death's doorstep, you would think that this guy would be like, "Okay, look, I know I can't take it with me. It's not even legally my money. It's not like my kids are going to inherit it. I have to get rid of it. But I'm not. I'm just going to keep it and send a giant middle finger to the entire Republican party. Right.
7:41 Instead of his little decrepit peace sign, he's doing this instead. Yeah, that's...this is a I think this is an even bigger story that I stumbled across late as I was looking into the op-ed story, which is: what on earth, if he wanted Republicans to do well in this midterm election which will be the last midterm election, the last election he's involved in in any capacity, and I just mean cuz he's retiring, but you know, um why would he not divvy out some of that cash? They're in need of any assistance they can get. And his final moves, unless he dumps all of that $7.4 million at the very last minute (which wouldn't make any sense because people are already voting now )that, it seems like his last two moves
8:28 before the last election he'll have any involvement in is to hold on to money that could help Republicans and publicly criticize Trump's morally bankrupt foreign policy in regards to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Hey, I wasn't a big fan of alive Mitch McConnell, okay? But this sort of teetering un undead moment he's in, not as bad. Not as bad. He's always given peace signs, which is sweet. And he is having uh homoerotic thoughts according to our fanfiction about him. And he's also doing this. So, I do want to say, even though it sounds
9:13 like I'm complimenting him for that, I am getting a little sick and tired. I'm getting very sick and tired of Republicans finding a moral backbone right before they leave their career. Like Tom Tillis, now he'll speak out against Trump. you know, Mitt Romney did a little bit earlier, but there's a lot of these folks who wait until they have no incentive to keep their mouth shut, then they speak up or then they do something. But the McConnell's of the world are as responsible for the rise of Trump and the destruction of the Republican party as Trump is. I mean, Lindsey Graham famously wrote that tweet that said,"If we nominate Trump as our candidate in 2016, the Republican party will be destroyed and we'll deserve it." And that is exactly what has happened.
10:00 And in Lindsay's case, he didn't get to, you know, live through the entire conclusion to this era. But what was left behind and what a lot of these Republicans are leaving behind is a Republican party in shambles because of their handing it over to MAGA. Wowza. What a twist in the McConnell story. He just goes missing again and then it's like one last move. That would be Can Mitch, can you do one thing for me? Do one more van ride to the uh Capitol. Open the door and just every last bit of energy you have, do one of these
10:48 to Trump. That would be that would be a beautiful ending to this story. Bobby Slax, who's been a member for 16 months, said,"Love you, Luke, Jaden, Cole, and all Beasleyans indeed."Jack said,"I forgot my milestone chat. The word was oasis, and it basically means bootlicking."Uh, lol. And then another acronym, I don't know. JS K, just so you know. Ha, got it. Um, love y'all. I love you, too. Obe. Oh, like obeying. Bootlicking. Oasis. I actually have never used that word before, but thank you for telling me. I just decided I would skip and see if any of y'all noticed. Just a little scratch in the record. Forte and Blues said, "This is stupid cuz you have read many of my chats, but I moved twice in the same year and my Colorado mailin ballot
11:35 is lost. What do I do?"Thanks. Um, what do you do if your mailin ballot is lost? You moved twice the same year? I would look that up. I don't want to give you bad advice. Ethan said,"It's not politically correct, but get our dinosaurs out of office. Unless they're cool dinosaurs, but most of the dinosaurs aren't so cool, so I agree with you. All right, here we go. You know, we're talking about it. Now is the time. By the way, I looked at one hell of a beautiful ass before, Nicki Minaj. So, it is one week and one day away from the highly consequential midterm election. And I'm going to give you the tale of two rallies, okay? An Obama Abdul sayed
12:23 rally and a Trump Mike Rogers Nicki Minaj rally. And just we'll compare and contrast the closing pitches from either side here. The closing pitch from a mentally deteriorating Trump seems to be, I love booty, okay? And I don't care if it's a boy's booty or a girl's booty. I like booty. And that has now crossed over from him saying it about John Hustad to saying it about Nicki Minaj. Just sort of openly sexually harassing a pop star who's about to get on stage. You know how it goes. Here's a photo of Trump clearly taking a little bit of a look at Nicki M at said ass. I guess is y'all I'm It must be how many times do
13:08 we think 25 times Trump has talked about different people's butts just in the last few weeks. That's the closing pitch. Okay, so we're just going to switch back and forth. That's the Trump rally in Michigan. Now, let's go to the Obama rally in Michigan. I I was I was I >> and I actually found a clip where Obama is talking about the physicality of Abdul to compare Trump's campaigning for Republicans talks a lot about physical characteristics. Let's see Obama talk about Abdul's physical characteristics. >> I've got a a long form birth certificate to prove it. This stuff didn't work on me. Not in Michigan. It's not going to work on our bill. Come on.
14:01 Abdul's as Michigan as it gets. Abdul was born here. He was raised here. Parents in the auto industry. Played football in in Bloomfield Heights. Captain of the his high school football and lacrosse and wrestling team. I I mean he he just a jack, you know. He like you see those big guns, that's why he wears those t-shirts, you know. You know, I I never campaigned in a t-shirt. I I I I ain't got those big guns. Michigan Wolverine, >> somebody
14:47 somebody who became a doctor to help people. >> Yeah, in fairness, there is something that's different about Abdul. >> So, there's about the biceps. I think talking about the guns is a little bit more rally friendly than look at that ass. But let's be honest, can we all just we we need to check our partisanship from time to time. Let me try to imagine Obama talking about Abdul's ass. Okay. Uh listen. They call it a uh Come on. Come on. They call it a dump truck. >> Mhm. >> You can back that up in me anytime. Yeah, I I would like that actually. >> These are the kind of guys you like to smack in the ass. >> Hey, confronting my biases. If Obama did the same. Now, I would not like Obama to
15:33 say that about Nicki Minaj. That would feel weird. But if he did about Abdul, I think I would have a good time with it. So, all right. I'm a little biased. Mike Rogers, of course, is who Trump is supposedly campaigning for, but Trump spent a lot of the time talking about John Houston's ass, who's not in this state. Um, is Houston. Where's Houston? Look up Houston. Now, I'm blanking on um his candidacy, but here's Mike Rogers revving up the crowd. >> Tell you, as a former FBI agent, I can tell you we would call that a clue. >> Yeah, he studs in Ohio, so there's no need to be talking about his butt in a campaign in Michigan. Wait, wait. Watch this again, okay? Because we just compared Trump and Obama. Now we're going to compare Mike Rogers and Abdul. Here is Mike Rogers. Tell you, as a former FBI agent, I can tell you we would call that
16:20 a clue. saw many people saying this, but it's uh I think that was worse than Jeb Bush's please clap. Just sitting there and being like, I'll wait. I'll wait. >> Clap for that. >> Yeah. Until you start clapping. Okay. So, contrast that against Abdul. >> Trump is the poster child for how Citizens United destroyed our politics. President Obama condemned it the day it was decided. >> Trump's big ugly bill gutting healthcare for millions. President Obama passed the legislation that expanded it in the first place.
17:05 >> And that there is where I want to pause and reflect. Here's what President Obama said. >> Obama on the FB So, a crowd member shouted, "Obama's not on the Epstein files either." And uh Abdul just pointed, "It's true. It's true. Lots of differences." So, then we go, "All right, imagine yourself right now. You're just like watching. I'm just cutting back and forth. Both are going on at the same time, and you're just you're just changing the channel back and forth. So, you're like,"Okay, oh wow, this Obama route, that's fun. Let me switch back to the Trump one." >> Got to be kidding. I knew that was going to happen. So, it hap it happened
17:51 yesterday. And I've been living with this whole thing about the ass. And believe me, it's of no interest to me other than to say John Houston is one hell of an athlete. Okay. All right. So, I'm going to change the channel back because it seems like he's still talking about Houston's big voluumptuous booty. So, let's cut back to the Obama rally. >> So, So, so, so when you go through all >> I, I want, if I had one question to ask Obama, I would ask him, do you know what you're doing? >> I think he does. I've told you all that sex sells. And I think he understands that. Just watch the subtleties, okay, of the sort of like rubbing his lips and then
18:37 scratching the back of his head and then turning his body in sort of a semi seductive manner. So, so, so, so when you go through all this, the the tally of promises, things have not worked out the way we might have expected, although I must say I did expect it. And and and let's be honest, does anybody really think this guy in the White House right now is spending all that time thinking about these issues? I I I mean I I don't know if you've noticed, but he seems very focused on home renovations. >> He should be on HGTV.
19:24 Guys building the a ballroom that's bigger than the White House. It's paved over the Rose Garden. Put a helicopter pad on the south lawn and and there's gold everywhere. What's up with the gold? I everything that more gold. He's got the White House looking like Saddam Hussein opened a cheesecake factory. >> Let's go. >> That is so good. Okay, so we'll change the channel back in a second, but uh I love standup comedian Barack Obama. I love whenever he's like,"All right, uh let me try all this high five for you. That was just real quick. He just
20:10 It's so good. You got to miss it. You really got to miss it. I saw that Fox News was trying to do Obama's an elitist because he thinks the Cheesecake Factory is for poor people. Huh. But you know, poor people actually see the Cheesecake Factory as a great fancy meal. Did you not get the joke? The joke wasn't that like, oh, if you think the Cheesecake Factory is nice, you are a bummer. I don't think anyone, however nice they perceive the Cheesecake Factory to be, thinks the Oval Office should be branded like a Saddam Hussein version of it. That was the joke. They're grasping because I know that every single right-wing host watched clips from this rally and was like, "Dang, I wish we had a Republican with this
20:56 level of charisma. I wish we had the...the thing is, too, it...Trump keeps repeating these same"quote unquote"jokes because that's what gets the rally crowds to laugh, but that leads to him just at like a hundred rallies in a row going,"Oh, big ass, you got a big ass."It's like, all right, maybe it was kind of funny the first time you blurted it out; now, just repeating it over and over has lost its oomph. So there, I know that the right-wing hosts see clips of Obama and go,"Oh, I wish we could have somebody like that."So then because they can't admit that, they have to grasp for I just thought it was very snobby that he made fun of the Cheesecake Factory. Sure. All right. So then let's cut back. Surely by now Trump has moved on from that topic, right? Change the channel.
21:42 >> This guy is much different. And I explained that. I said, but when I said I looked at his ass and it says the press went crazy the next day. They >> Okay, so he's still talking about that. Well, let's cut back to the Abdullah Obama one. >> Rather than these tariffs bringing down the deficits like he said he would, they're driving up your prices and now we are running a debt to the tune of $40 trillion. I want to I I I can't resist pointing out, by the way, when I was president, we're in the middle of the worst financial crisis. All these Republicans all deficits, deficits debt debt. You got to do something about it. And now $40 trillion
22:28 >> crickets. Whatever. >> Guys, I hadn't watched till the end of that clip and what the reaction I was going to do was imitating him going crickets and then I was going to add to it. And then he literally did that before I could do it. Watch. Watch him imitate a cricket. Crickets. What up? It's so true. By the way, this drives me loco that whenever Republicans are out of power, it's like the debt, the debt, the debt, the deficit, the deficit, the
23:14 deficit, the debt. And then whenever they need to cut spending to a crucial social program, it's debt, debt, debt, debt. We need to lower our deficits. our debts getting out of control. But whenever Trump in large part because of wildly irresponsible, not because he's trying to expand a social program like if you add to our deficit spending because you're trying to get out of an economic crisis and you need to pump a bunch of money in the economy or, you're you're desperately trying to make sure people have healthcare, it's like, we still need to be cautious of our debt, but at least that was a moral cause that you were running up the numbers on. In the Republicans's case, it'll be like, uh, we're going to balloon our deficit because we want to lower the tax rates for the richest Americans. You're like, what? Not only are you proving you never gave a crap
24:00 about that fiscal responsibility nonsense, but also it's not even for a good cause. And the fact that Obama had to live through eight years of Republicans opposing everything he did on the basis of the debt, the deficit and then turn around and watch as Trump became the president who oversaw 25 plus%of all of the debt in American history. Must be absolutely infuriating. All right, now we actually do cut over to the Trump rally when he's moved on from the ass topic. >> And I have no second guess. Somebody said,"Have you had it to do again?"I said,"Are you kidding? I thought gas would be double and triple and it's a small price to pay. >> Well, I think if I were his campaign adviser, I would go
24:45 get back to talking about Nicki Minaj's butt cuz that's going to be better for your political uh ambitions than telling people the record high diesel prices, gas prices spiking is a small price to pay. And really, it would have been a small price to pay if it was twice, three times what it currently is. Here's Obama addressing Trump's uh big feud with Canada. >> And and the weirdest thing is he's the toughest when it comes to tariffs and trade wars on that well-known evil empire, Canada, that historical adversary of us.
25:31 Canada. Canada. It's your neighbor. It's a few minutes drive over the bridge. These are the people who gave us Martin Short. And and people sir, they they are the nicest people. I They're so nice. and and somehow we've gotten them so mad because they're just constantly being abused and talked about and talking about annexing their country, making it a 51st state and and so rather than these tariffs bringing down the deficits like he said he would,
26:17 they're driving up your prices and >> Yeah. And then he goes in the clip that we saw before. This is an important um message I think which is let me give you examples of what Trump is focused on and then compare it to what he's not focused on because in all of those comparisons you both have opportunities for a lot of funny moments like that and the Saddam Hussein's Cheesecake Factory joke. But there's also something so substantive there. And that's what you want. You want the potential for virality, right? for a clip to go viral because it's funny and it's playful, but also a substantive message writing on that. And what you see here with the Trump cares about renovating the White House, but doesn't care about lowering prices
27:03 for you. Trump cares about battling with Canada, but not resolving the disastrous war that he started. is both something that you can play around with and our enemy Canada turn around. I got to try that. Turn around to the background and people go, "Wait, yeah, why is he obsessed with things that don't help me and completely doesn't give a crap about things that would help me." All right, then we cut back to the Trump rally and all of a sudden Nicki Minaj is on stage. Maybe she will be the magic variable that will shift Republicans uh prospects here. >> We're not going to give up because we want our children to grow up in a place where we can be proud of. We don't want our children to be bombarded with sex changes, right?
27:51 We don't want that for our children. We want people to leave the children alone. Leave them out of it. Right. Aren't can you look up Nicki Minaj brother and husband and uh sex registry and just remind me it's either her brother or her husband or both who are maybe threats to people in a way. Yeah, go ahead and explain this to us if you would Jaden. Um, apparently both the brother and the husband have a criminal record involving sexual harassment of some kind. And then one of I don't want to speak out of term, but this is also so out of touchcoded
28:36 whenever some celebrity gets up at a right-wing rally and they're like, you know, we need to focus on the issues that matter. stopping the bombardment of kids getting sex changes. And you go, you must be in such a social media bubble if you think that is an issue that is facing Americans. It is not. Statistically, we're talking about a nonissue in regards to children getting sex changes. Nicki Minaj's husband has been sentenced to a year of homage for failing to register as a sex offender. >> This is from BBC. >> Every look. Wow. Okay, maybe you get your own house in order. Um, Nikki, I don't know. But yeah, if you believe that there is a underage
29:23 sex change bombardment going on, then I guess she's speaking to your concerns. My little Jimmy went to school and came home. Jane, then there's more. >> So, President Trump, it is an honor to stand with you every single time and I will continue to support you forever and ever. If you run again, I will support you again. >> That is good. A lot of I think this is fitting for the this particular rally crowd, but she did a lot of She knows her audiences. Okay, she does. And I'll give her credit for that. A lot of callin response sort of simple methods of messaging. And when I say Mike, you say Rogers.
30:11 Mike. >> Mike. When I say John, you say James. John. John. >> Of course, one of the candidates name is John. James. Hey, you ever thought of getting a last name? We have We also have Mr. White. Maybe John James isn't. I don't know. You never know. You just never know. All right. Then we cut back to the Obama rally. >> A It's not loading. I like this. >> Meanwhile, you got the defense secretary who's who's squarely focused. Wait, wait. Don't move. Wait, wait, wait.
30:56 No no no. >> Okay. And John James is not is not white. Okay. So, my joke didn't make sense there, but you get it. Okay. Of course, when I make that joke, but you get it. You get it. John James, >> he's very focused on important matters like the jaw lines and testosterone levels of our troops and and live streaming executions because that's how he thinks. You cultivate that manly warrior spirit. How much time do you think this defense secretary spends looking at himself in
31:41 the mirror in the morning? I mean, he's, you know, he's, you know, he's working his hair cuz that's how warriors look. These are not serious people. >> Why hasn't he been doing more rallies? This drives me crazy. Wait, you remember like 6 months ago I did this whole rant about how Obama better go and and like mentally trick people into thinking that he's running for something just I don't know what I don't know if every Democratic candidate needs to legally change their last name to Obama or something. But I really wanted him out front. But he still has that sort of old school when you leave office you kind of stay in the background after being president.
32:27 And he is emerging for this. This is right before the election. I wish he had been doing way more of these. Could listen to it all day. Luke, you're glazing him. That's correct. That is 100%correct. Luke, what about your criticisms of him? Don't care about that right now. I just don't. I don't. But what would they sh I don't care um right now. So then one other Mike Rogers moment. This was from a Sunday interview he did with Christian Welker. And I don't know if he was actually having technical problems or if he didn't want to answer this question. This but either way, this is the perfect portrayal of Republicans right now. >> Very busy Sunday for you. I know that President Trump is going to be out in Michigan campaigning with you a little bit later on today. Let me ask you,
33:12 Congressman, is a vote for you a vote for the Trump agenda? >> Um, I'm apologizing. I'm having some difficulty in my earpiece, but I is a vote for you. I'm not sure. I I'll tell you what a vote for me is. It's a great day for the state of Michigan. We've >> genius. >> Oh, my my earpiece went out. So, um I I am um formerly apologizing. Who talks like that? I am apologizing. That's what I'm doing right now. Um but I can tell you a vote is good. A vote for me is good. Yeah. As if your earpiece went out. Uh, hey, according to Mike Nellis here, Elon Musk has spent more money in American elections in the last two years than George Soros has in his entire life.
33:59 Um, I'll check these numbers and we can circle back to them. But if this is correct, I want an apology, a written apology from every single Republican who's ever under the name George Soros. Do you know how frequently they say, "Oh my gosh, Democrats, they're not even real politicians, they're just a puppet for George Soros because he spends money in these campaigns." And then Elon Musk comes along and dumps almost $200 million just in the Texas Senate race. And it is mums the word. Um, and we don't hear a peep. Maybe be consistent on whether you think billionaires trying to influence elections is positive or
34:44 negative. That would be very helpful because to me, as long as our laws are the way that they are, am I going to complain if Soros donates to a Democrat? No. But do I think that system is completely whacked and I wish he weren't allowed to spin like that? Yes. Bobby Slack says, "Chump is the reincarnation of Ramsy's 2. Ramsy's the Great. Ramsay's too had all carvings about him to be carved mega deep so as to be seen for eons. Bobby also said,"God, I miss President Obama being in the White House. Not only was he a great stavesman, but he was just so cool."And people people like to make it seem as if it is petty to care about how quote unquote cool the president is, but I don't think that's
35:30 true. There there's a lot of power that the president wields. Yes. And that should be our most focused on item which is what are their policies, how will they govern. But a lot of being the president is also an image thing. It is how the US is represented in the borders and outside the borders. It is a position of messaging. Your staff does a lot of the actual meat and potatoes, but you are the person who goes out and explains topics and leads. Leadership is largely messaging. messaging to the people under you, messaging to the people outside of your organization and leading through that and having someone like Obama who could do the job
36:15 in yeah a cool way aesthetically and vibeswise is more meaningful than I I think some people give it credit for. I need to explain just how dark the current moment that we are in is through the lens of this recent story that uh Democratic staffers have put together and released a report in the House Judiciary Committee that details some jawdropping claims and connections between Trump and Epstein. And you might have had the reaction that I had initially and I feel bad about this and it tells you a lot about the moment that we're in which was like,"Oh yeah, what's new?" That was my that was my first reaction to this. There is a new newly detailed
37:00 horrific rape allegation and literally my thought was well everyone has already heard these allegations. What else? And then I felt a lot of guilt for that. But it tells you that we're so numb to the scandals of Trump and so aware that the people who support him don't seem to be swayed by stuff like this that I almost skipped over it. But look at this. Rosy reports. Seven jaw-dropping claims in new Epstein report accusing Trump of brutal rape. House Judiciary Committee Democrats on Monday released a 52-page staff report accusing President Trump of being an active participant in Jeffrey Epstein's abuse of young women in the 1990s and of course accusing his DOJ of a cover up. So there's a new rape allegation. I don't know about you, but imagine any other world, we just reviewed the Obama rally. Imagine during
37:47 the Obama era if something came out about him and we already knew that he was best of best of friends with this horrific predator and then there's a detailed new allegation against Obama regarding rape. Think about how many days that would dominate the news cycle. Now compare that to how little you're going to hear about this story. Maybe if you follow a lot of liberal YouTube channels, you'll hear more about it. But I'm telling you mainstream news-wise, this will not be the type of story that this would be a resignation level story in any other world. So this is point one, new rape allegation. Beatatric Qle, a Swiss former pageant contestant, told the committee staff that Trump violently raped her in a suite at New York's Plaza Hotel during his November 1993 American
38:34 Dream Pageant. She says that earlier that day, Epstein approached her and introduced himself as Dawn's best friend. Cule says Trump grabbed her from behind, tore her dress, and left her bleeding and bruised. Afterward, she says he repeated his offer to arrange a visa and admission to NYU, and made her promise to keep quiet, saying the show must go on. According to the report, she previously described the encounter as an attempted rape. She talked Trump out of the report doesn't explain why her account changed, and it relies entirely on her interviews with staff. You have other details from this as well, but let's just sit on that for a second. Okay, what's the response from the right? Well, if any of these things were true, you would have seen some sort of litigation. And then whenever a rape allegation is litigated, they say,"Well, that wasn't litigated correctly."
39:21 Sometimes if you bring it up, they go, "Well, that happened in New York." Yeah, like where Trump lived. You know how like these sorts of lawsuits have to be brought where the person lived and that was where he lived. Yeah, but it was probably a bunch of liberals on the jury. Trump specifically. And in the 2009 email from Epste's lawyer, which remains redacted in DOJ's release, the lawyer wrote that Trump specifically asked his own attorney to inform Epstein's team about Trump's interview with a lawyer for Epstein's victims. Democrats say this raised significant red flags that Donald Trump wanted to make sure Epste was matching his false narrative. This will be a one to two day story. Now, I am grateful that somebody's trying to keep this story alive because I didn't think Trump's whole shut up
40:06 about it and moving on was going to work, but it kind of did. I've explained this phenomenon to you before. I'll tell you using me as an example why that happens with stories. As commentators, we are, you know, a learned behavior of ours is to keep our content fresh. If every day I did the sameish show where I explained where economic metrics are, how it compares to the Biden era, where the polls are, like you would get extremely bored. And so, because of that, I can't every day talk about necessarily the most fundamentally consequential issues, right? Because you would probably rather a little bit a show where we cover the clip where Trump talks about John Houston's butt and then compliments Nicki Minaj's butt than me just doing another examination of where
40:52 prices are nationally. And so similarly here, because you learn that as a commentator, I got to keep it fresh and new and I got to have new thoughts and and uh punchy statements that if a story is sort of on the back burner, like there's not a new revelation, then you stop talking about it. But that is what Trump has learned that he can manipulate very effectively, create new scandals every day. He doesn't do this consciously, but subconsciously. and there's always another headline relating to him. And so then as reactive commentators, we all just sort of move on to the new thing and it works. And it feels kind of cringe if every day I did, hey, by the way, and did a whole story about how they're still not being as
41:39 transparent as they should be. That there's still a bunch of documents they have not released despite the law being passed saying they had to release them. That's a bombshell scandal. And time's gone by. The reason why a scandal couldn't just just fall off of a politician like that is because there would be all these accountability maneuvers. There would be impeachment proceedings. There would be investigations that they have to respond to. But because the Republican party is completely capitulated to Trump, they don't do anything. So there's no new updates. Trump starts talking about other stuff and creates new scandals and everyone moves on. So, I'm glad this is at least bringing it back into the news cycle because he can't get away with using his ability to manipulate the media to get everyone to forget that his administration is actively ignoring the law
42:25 for years now. It talks about the Blanch Mack, this report from uh House Democrats about the interview that Todd Blanch, the now attorney general, did with Galain Maxwell. And supposedly he steered her away on at least three separate occasions from discussing Jane, a survivor whose account in FBI files says Epstein introduced her to Trump at Mara Lago when she was 14, saying,"This is a good one, huh?"At one point, Blanch said,"Let's not talk about individuals." Democrats say this may account to witness tampering and obstruction. Let's not talk about individuals. Who are you there to talk about then? And this is what we all knew. And then think about that just to remind you. I know a lot of this is for just let me just remind you for a second. He did this interview going like so
43:10 no no no no don't talk about a specific example but just in general Trump was great right? He was a great guy. And Maxwell was like yeah he was great a gentleman. And then, nope, Maxwell gets to go to a super cushy prison, which was in violation of the Bureau of Prisons rules around which offenders can go to which prisons. And she got to go to one that's supposed to be for lower level crimes. And uh that's where she is now, a minimum security prison where they have puppy like meet and greets. That is a scandal of a century that some sort of deal was cut. That's not a coincidence. Oh, the Bureau of Prison decided to break its own rules to transition her to this other prison
43:55 right after the deputy attorney general at the time got her to insist that Trump was the greatest gentleman, which I will always remind you is exactly what Gain says about Epstein, too. So, uh, there's another allegation. According to her FBI interview, a young model who later testified against Maxwell under the name Kate says Maxwell presented her to Trump at the New York at a New York party the same way Maxwell introduced her to Epstein. A December 2020 email from a federal prosecute summarizes a call with Kate's lawyer says Maxwell set Kate up on a date with Trump citing other sources including a 1997 tabloid report. Democrats say three the three then flew to to Florida together. Kate has not alleged misconduct by Trump. And then it goes into the Trump claim that the reason he parted ways with Epstein was because he
44:41 realized he was a crepe and he kicked him out of Mara Lago. Not that you need me to tell you this, but that's absolutely not the case. Um, Trump has changed his story about 50 times on this. And that it's it's pretty clear some sort of personal beef they hap they had, maybe over real estate or something. Or even one of Trump's tellings of this story was creepy. He was like,"Yeah, Epstein kept taking my girls."And I said,"Stop taking my girls. They're mine."um regarding potentially underage employees and massuses at uh Mara Lago. In reality, they had a personal beef and that's why they stopped hanging out so much. Or Trump just knew the the PR of it didn't look
45:27 great after a while, but then you have emails really really late of Epstein saying,"Oh, I'm going to hang out with the Trump boys, you know, soon. Heading down to Florida to hang out with the Trump boys." And then yes, a redacted FBI interview summary with a former Epstein assistant states flatly that Epstein introduced Melania to Donald Trump. Now Melania keeps sing sending legally threatening letters to friend of the show Jojo from Jurors and we had her on the show to talk about this. She talked about how a bunch of um people were advising her just do a public apology, retract whatever you said. The wealth and power of the Trumps is just so large that even if it is bogus, their claim of defamation against you is going to be too drawn out of a legal
46:13 process that will destroy you before you could ever even get to a trial. Joe didn't take that advice. She stood up for herself and she said, "I'm not I'm not retracting because of stuff like this."One of the claims it seems that Melania is going after Joe for was the reports that Epstein introduced Melania and Donald. And that keeps coming up and it keeps contradicting the whole Apollo Zoli introduction. Meet cute. Um it's maybe not the case. Maybe the story they tell is true. But there's plenty of reasons and plenty of people in this case a former Epstein assistant who states that's exactly what happened. And so let me just say stop going after Joe Melania. I am now reporting on that. I am now saying I think that's what
46:59 happened. You can sue me if you'd like. Thank you so much. Art and circumstance said,"I voted blue and teas this morning. Virtual high five. Thanks for all you do."Clearly, Crystal Court said,"Diesel prices in LA have gone up to eight plus dollars. Wondering what the gas stations would do if it went over $10, but their signs aren't made for DBL digits."LOL. Um I don't know what would happen there. That would be pretty crazy. Yes, we the um we went to to go vote on what day was that? Saturday. Saturday we went to vote and have you gone yet? No, Cole is not gone. Jade and I went. Cole's going to go a little bit later, but we made it happen and it felt really, really good.
47:46 All right, speaking of Todd Blanch, let's review this. The attorney general and former personal lawyer but seemingly current personal lawyer, by the way he behaves, of Donald Trump Todd Blanch, was on CNN and was confronted over a very reasonable concern from Americans, which is: if this midterm election, that is now a week and a day away, does not go the way that Trump wants, will he do what he did in 2020 and try to delegitimize or even steal the election? And Todd Blanch did this feigned outrage routine that drove me crazy. He started losing it. He was like,"What kind of question is that, Dana?"And was so dramatic, even though he knows exactly
48:32 why that's a reasonable concern. The gaslighting here, I know it's an overused term, but this is when it's very applicable, was off the charts. What? Wait, you think Trump would try to invalidate an election result? What? >> He's admitting it's political. Do you see? And I should give you the context of we already reviewed at the end of last week: that Trump's DOJ, led by Todd Blanch, is bringing a lawsuit in Alaska to try to pause the certification of the election result in that Senate race if the Republican narrowly loses, because there's a Dan, uh, Sullivan on the ballot who's not the Dan Sullivan who's the Republican, and that person qualified. There were
49:17 already legal challenges and the guy's name is on the ballot. You're just not going to change that. Went through all the legal protocol. He has the same name as the Republican. But the Republicans listed as Republican incumbent. The other Dan Sullivan doesn't have that label next to the name. I think people can figure it out. But I do hope Pelah wins by a large enough margin that that won't matter. But that's where this is kind of starting where the conversation starts. And hey, it's fine for them to go. We think that's confusing to people, but legal challenges have already been exhausted. Trying to just pause the certification and then what what you're going to have a new election without that guy's down the ball. It doesn't make sense is is what's happening here. But then when it shifts, as you're about to see, to just general discussions of what do you mean Trump would try to challenge Alex?
50:04 Todd Blanch looks like a foo. >> He's admitting it's political. Do you see your job as helping Republicans keep the seat? He's not admitting it's political. Wait, you're saying that a president saying that there's a that there's a improper something improper happening at the ballots is necessarily political? He's the executive. He's the He's supposed to make sure that there's everything in this country is running right, including Democrats are trying to steal this election. >> But steal this election. How? Finish your thought. >> I'm It's not my cheating by putting a candidate up. No, no, no. That's not all he said. He didn't stop there. You can't just cherrypick a quote from the president of the United States then ask me to comment on it. What he has said repeatedly repeatedly is that the reason why this is not fair. This is not a fair fight in his mind because there is a man
50:50 on the ballot with I mean let's just keep on saying it again with the same name as the incumbent senator who happens to be a Republican. I understand not President Trump. >> This is a question about a about the law. Do you believe that that is illegal? Is it illegal to have >> wait >> one ballot with two people of the same name? That's that's that is one of the fundamental questions that that will be asked. >> So so here's the answer the very short answer to that question. Okay, which is that it is an obligation of the states to avoid confusion among other things confusion in the minds of voters in the election process. So the question is whether Alaska by allowing this to happen is violating the law and the the federal law and the constitution by allowing confusion in the ballot. Okay,
51:36 that is the the the state the legal question and in my mind it's not a hard one because not because of what President Trump has said and not because what I think but because the head of the Alaskan election process has said it. So it's not my words, not President Trump's words, the head of Alaskan elections. Can we take a step back here as to you were asking why, uh people, are are asking questions about this? And let's just talk turkey, because one of the big questions is whether or not the the president is laying the groundwork for a scenario where the, whether it's Alaska or somewhere else, there is, in your words a couple of days ago, a doomsday scenario IO.
52:22 And we could be in a situation where President Trump tries to overturn the election, and the result of that could be, God forbid, what we saw after January 6. That is one of the fundamental questions. >> Oh, you got to stop it with that. You are not being a real person. Come on, man. That is crazy. Wait, hold on a sec. Hold on a second. Wait, wait, wait. Stop. Stop. Stop. Let you ask the question. Let me answer. Hold on. You You set me up. You set me up with the following question. Okay. Because the president because the Department of Justice is concerned that there is an absolute fraud happening in Alaska and he wants to do something about it. You're saying, Mr. Attorney General, because the president of the United States wants to stop a fraud and confusion in Alaska. Is he going to do
53:08 something crazy? That is not that is not a real question. I I >> um I don't like Todd Blanch in this fake character because typically he does like the I'm a serious attorney general character. I don't like this. Are you really ask? Let me explain to you. I like the debate, bro, Todd Blanch. Wait, wait, wait, wait. Let me let me say back to you what your question just was. I don't like that little vibe of his. But that is a very reasonable question. Even take the Alaska issue out of it. You, sir, are in the same position that a man by the name of Bill Barr was in before. And Bill Barr can tell you that Trump tried to pressure him into using the power of the DOJ to take election results in states and somehow legally justify flipping them
53:55 from the lawful election result that had a Democrat winning to a Republican, in this case, Trump winning. the guy in your exact office had to say no and had to resign over it. Did he resign or did he just hold it out? I think he resigned or definitely spoke out against Trump after it and said this guy based on false claims was trying to get me to use the power of the executive branch to force an election result he wanted. Is Is it a crazy question to ask this current attorney general, then, who seems to be way more loyal to Trump than Bill Bar was," you participate in a scheme like that, whether it be in this election or in the 2028 election?"No, that's a perfectly reasonable question. And the fact that
54:41 Todd can't go,"Of course, of course, I will not use the power of the DOJ to meddal an election," and instead has to do the,"What, what? Who, me? What? You're crazy. No, you're crazy. You're the crazy one," is actually pretty terrifying. >> Wish it was a real question. I wish it wasn't. But but if you're laying ground for the president to try to overturn an election that he doesn't like, >> there is >> we're not laying any groundwork for the president to do that. So your premise, your question is not true. What I said and so if you so you have to listen to what I say or it's not a fair conversation. And what I said is the groundwork that we are laying >> is for Alaska, for the state of Alaska, if it becomes an issue after the election, will have the ability to
55:27 determine whether there was confusion that violates the law in determining who the senator should be. That is not Donald J. Trump. That is not right here. You said to guard against a danger, it is vital that defendants not certify any election results that may be impacted by voter confusion. you're putting into the ether into a a complaint into a lawsuit the potential >> read the rest of the complaint. That's not that's not where it ends. That's not where it ends. It's that that is not the whole thing. What what the what the rest of that paragraph says and what the rest of the the relief that we are seeking is not to not certify. It's to not certify if the law is broken. So if the law is broken and that's for Alaskan and the Alaskan court system to determine if the law >> it already did this already had legal
56:12 challenges against it and Dan what was it? Jay Sullivan is is Dan S. Sullivan the real one. Dan J. Sullivan is the other one. But the one that says Republican incumbent is the one you would vote for if you want to vote for the Republican. Here's here's my pitch to Alaskan voters. Are you confused that there's a Dan Sullivan and a Dan Sullivan? And it's like, what what? How do you know, even the one's labeled as the Republican, but okay, how do you know? Just go ahead and vote for Pelah, then there will be no confusion, right? There's only one Pelto on the ballot. Go ahead and vote for her, and uh, the confusion will be cleared up very easily. But again, that is why it's important that the margin, again, to explain, let's say that Pelola wins by two
56:58 percentage, um you know, 2%of the vote, and the other Dan Sullivan gets 1%, then there's no argument she got more than he even got. So there, there is no confusion that could have contributed to that if it does come down to like Dan J Sullivan, I think that's the guy, and they even kind of. >> look similar >> that is actually really funny If whichever one is which gets 2%and Pelola wins by 1%. Then we are in a little bit of a to debacle here and I I would hate that that will give him a lot of fodder. But no, however much Todd Blanch pretends to be completely flumxed by the idea that
57:43 people would be nervous Trump would challenge election results unjustly. Can't remember where that sentence was going, but Todd, you're crazy. Okay, that's the main the main point that I'm trying to make here. And do I kind of want Pelah to start throwing out those slurs that she was apparently using behind the scenes at her victory speech if she wins? Yeah, a little bit. Okay, just a little bit. I want her to. No, I don't. That's so offensive. But it depends, you know, if it's like a triumphant hey yeah, to the crowd, you know, let's do this. That would be cool. I think it would rev
58:29 me up. I don't know. Maybe that says something about me. Is it weird that I get a little bit Is it weird that Mommy? What? If you know, you know. It's a whole Pela drama. She needs to bring her bird. Didn't she have a bird? No, an iguana. I think she had an iguana. One of the supposed scandals about her was that she got her staffers uh after she had like a death in the family to feed her iguana. >> It was a pet chameleon. >> Chameleon. Um she better bring that chameleon out on stage. That you know what she needs to do? Bring the I already blanked the chameleon out on stage. Say we did it.
59:16 at with the the F-word, but triumphantly I'm giving her the pass. And then go and ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to this victory party, Dan J. Sullivan. And then he comes out, he's like,"Yeah." No, I'm kidding. All right. Larry Cuddlo did an interview with Trump on Fox News, and Cuddlo just cracks me up. He's not, to use Todd Blanch's wording from that interview, he is not a real person. His whole vi he's he looks like a little um what is it? A little lizard. Not a lizard a chameleon. What is what is the name of those? A reptile. He's like a little reptile pet that you would have.
1:00:02 It's so funny. Like why is this why is this little lizard not open his eyes properly? And he brought on Trump. And you're going to be nauseous when you hear this introduction that Larry did. We are days away from the midterms. You have the president of the United States on the phone who spent the better part of the last month campaigning for Republicans by talking about how sexy a Republicans butt is. And your first question is this. >> All right. Great pleasure. Joining us on the phone from the White House is uh President Trump. Uh first of all, sir, thank you for doing this. Uh appreciate it very much. And um I just want to begin with this thought, sir. I think you're on a roll. Okay. I think you're on a roll. if you can hear me. I mean, you've been relentless. You're campaigning. It's herculean. You're turning the tide. You're getting voters
1:00:48 out. You're raising enthusiasm. The economy is booming. We're the hottest in the world. Stocks are doing great. Drug prices are coming down. Uh, oil is flowing through the Persian Gulf. I mean, I think in the last month, you may have turned this whole thing around. So, can you pull it off? Can the GOP hang on to its majority? What are you thinking, sir? What's your what's your take on this story? >> I have >> on what story >> that you want to sleep with him. What's the story that What was that? What? What? You're supposed to be doing an interview of him. He's the president. You could challenge him on something. That was so cringey. >> Worked very hard. I've done 14 rallies in
1:01:35 nine days and that's a lot. them going back to Ohio where we have a gentleman named Houston who was a great great football player that didn't want to talk about it. I would have talked about it. I would have said I'm the greatest of all time but he didn't you know he's a humble guy who's a incredible John Guden told me about him. He said he's one of the best players he's ever seen, you know, etc. All American. Nobody knew the I mean some of the audience did actually when I started talking he was an all-American sir. He was one of the and >> gosh Trump sounds terrible. He's whoro. He's mumbling. Also Larry do you notice he doesn't even have the mental faculties to answer your question? None of us really know what the question was but couldn't Trump have gone,"Wow, Larry,
1:02:23 even I was kind of cringed out by that, but thank you for your your kind words. Um, yes, we are doing great."because and then list off some things that would sound like achievements. But instead, if this Houston statement he's making, that's only one campaign. Why is Trump going back to Houston? He has a huge crush on Houston. If this turns out to be a discussion of Houston's butt, Larry better jump in and go,"Oh my gosh, I'm sorry, sir." >> It totally changed his image overnight. I mean, he's he was like 12 down, now he's two or three up, and he's great, you know? He's great. Everyone thought he was quiet. He really wasn't peace. He was a killer. And people like him in Ohio better. John said he would literally rip when he when he tackled, he would rip people's heads
1:03:09 off. I said,"You got to be kidding." >> Literally. He said literally. >> He was an all-American and he had the record in the NCAA for 17 interceptions. And nobody knew this. And they won the championship. John Gruden was the quarterback and a great guy. M >> he said that John Houston was the best player on the team and he was an unbelievable leader and a real force and I said why hasn't somebody explained this you know he's been a politician because he's a humble person he's a humble person there's something nice about that actually >> yes >> It's uh, it's just raised him to a level that you know nobody can believe. I mean, it's just amazing. He went up 14 points or something, and that was my rally. That was when I said, you know, the word, the"a"word, and everyone said,
1:03:55 "Oh, why is he talking about that?"You know, they didn't put the >> He brought it up. He brought it up. Larry set him up with the easiest question in the history of questions, which is a nonquest, which is just, you're doing so great and you're changing the tides of the midterms, which I'm seeing no data that backs that up at all. If anything, Trump is dragging these candidates down by reminding voters that he is linked at the hip to them, or better said, they're linked at the hip to him. and just lists off how great Larry thinks you're doing. In a rare instance, Larry's eyes actually were wide open and he seems wide awake. He said,"It's going great." And the main thing he lists was the stock market. It's always the out of touch uh very wealthy pundits that are like,"What is everyone's issue? The
1:04:42 stock market's doing good." Um which by the way, it is doing good. That could we could lose a lot of those gains very soon if a bubble pops, which, uh, many economists expect that it will. But also, it's not even growing as quickly as it was under Biden in the last year. But who cares? Who cares about facts such as that, it seems? So, you can set up with the easiest question:"You're amazing, what do you think about that?" And Trump just goes on to talk about how great of a football player one of the candidates was one, one Senate candidate, how great of a football player he was and how by talking about that guy's butt. He apparently changed the tide of Houston's election. Why wouldn't you follow up as an interviewer on a major network and go,
1:05:30 "Uh, Mr. President, I was I was trying to ask about the achievements that you think you're running on, not how good of a football player one of your candidates was." >> Oh, clip they just put I looked at his body. I said,"Look at his strength in this guy. This is crazy."And they said,"What? Why is he doing that? You know the fake news they said why is all all they had to do is hang on for another 30 seconds and they would have learned >> but uh you know it had a tremendous impact. >> Yeah. >> I think that I think that uh I think that if you go to Texas Ken Paxton the greatest attorney general in the history of Texas bar none of the few greatest in the whole country. I think he deserves to get this get this uh election and he'll be great for Texas
1:06:16 and he won't have a teleico type guy that's against meat. He's against oil and gas. He wants to stop drilling oil and gas. He said >> he literally does not. >> You know, and and politicians always come back to that point, Larry. When they when they have an original that's just the way they are. They're born that way. When they don't like guns, tell a freaker. Guys, Jaden was saying, "We're losing him." You can see Larry's fading. He's fading. He got so amped up. He He took his adrenaline shot and already he's fading badly. >> It makes me I want to I want to hear the inner thoughts of hosts in moments like
1:07:02 this. You ask a question that could not have been easier for Trump to dunk. You give him a layup. You know, somebody knows about sports. John Houston's so strong. Look at his butt. I'd bounce a basketball off that butt. And he just goes on to ramble. >> Doesn't like guns. He's going to try and get rid of guns. I mean, guns and oil in Texas is not a good campaign. You know, let's get rid of oil and guns. >> Yes, sir. And we don't like meat either. You know, he forced himself to have meat and he's always throwing up and he disappeared for 12 days. >> He was eating too much meat or something or or there's something wrong with him. You know, you usually find that out right after the election. >> But that's a very risky thing. No, Ken
1:07:48 Paxton is the greatest attorney general. I >> This is rough, guys. I I don't feel bad, but I almost feel bad. I just need all of you to understand. I don't even know what to do this week. I almost wish we could just take this week off and I just play pickle ball all week or something because I'm gonna be so antsy. I don't I don't even like talking right now. I just want to sit and I want to wait because every single variables in place for an election result that I would think gives all would give us all hope. And we're going to have such a great election night coverage. If it doesn't get paired with great results, we got to make sure we put
…
